KARMACHINA is thrilled to announce that 1895 Coffee Designers by Lavazza has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2021, proud to be part of this special project alongside Ralph Appelbaum Associates, Truly Design Studio and Trace Element Design. KARMACHINA curated the design and implementation of the multimedia content for Factory 1895, the new and innovative experiential factory in Settimo Torinese that immerses visitors in Lavazza’s world of specialty coffee, from bean origins to tasting experiences.
The narrative follows the craft of the 1895 Coffee Designers, tracing their quest for the rarest beans in Yemen and the meticulous steps of creation, as multimedia storytelling combines the designers’ voices, motion graphics and immersive video to reveal the artistry and passion behind Lavazza coffee. The journey culminates in the coffee cave, where a 360° tasting experience beneath two animated domes immerses guests in flavor, sight and sound.
