KARMACHINA is a multimedia design studio based in Milan, Italy. Led by Paolo Ranieri and Rino Stefano Tagliafierro, the studio is driven by a strong focus on quality and a tailored design approach.

Over the years, KARMACHINA has developed exhibitions, multimedia installations, and events for museums, cultural institutions, and brands, both in Italy and internationally.

The studio brings together a broad, multidisciplinary team, enabling it to manage every phase of a project with consistency and precision. This internal structure is complemented by a network of highly specialised collaborators and partner companies, allowing the studio to respond to the specific needs of each project while maintaining its distinctive approach.

KARMACHINA was founded in 2013 by Paolo Ranieri, Rino Stefano Tagliafierro, and Vinicio Bordin.

Areas of Activity

We begin every project with thorough research and storytelling to uncover the cultural, historical, and emotional layers that shape its narrative. This foundation ensures that each experience is accurate, meaningful, and tailored to its audience.

We craft concepts that integrate content, technology, and space, guiding both creative and technical processes to maintain a cohesive vision throughout the project.

We design environments that shape how people perceive and interact with a space. By integrating architecture, spatial narrative, and immersive elements, we create experiences that convey content, reinforce identity, and engage visitors both emotionally and conceptually.

We define the artistic and visual identity of each project, crafting clear aesthetics and a consistent visual language that supports storytelling and engages audiences.

We produce multimedia content—including video, animation, graphics, and interactive elements—that brings concepts to life across formats and platforms.

We design custom soundscapes and original music tailored to each context and content, enhancing emotional impact and reinforcing the visual narrative.

We oversee on-site installation and technical integration to ensure smooth operations and a seamless visitor experience from start to finish.
