A dive into the ukiyo-e of the Edo period
Following the extraordinary success of Monet: I Can See the Lights – An Immersive Journey, Ukiyo-e RE:BORN, an innovative immersive experience, will open to the public on April 26, 2025, at the Kadokawa Culture Museum in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
This digital installation, realized by Karmachina with artistic direction by Gianfranco Iannuzzi, transforms over 1,000 square meters of space using 33 projectors, offering an unprecedented visual spectacle. Visitors will be transported into the world of Edo-period ukiyo-e, admiring masterpieces by renowned artists such as Utamaro Kitagawa and Hokusai Katsushika, and immersing themselves in the landscapes and daily life of the era.
