Schengen Museum is a renewed interactive and multimedia museum dedicated to the Schengen Agreement, one of the founding moments of contemporary Europe. Conceived as a borderless space, the permanent exhibition—developed by M+S and KARMACHINA—guides visitors through past, present, and future, combining physical and digital elements in an immersive journey that reflects on mobility, diversity, and European integration.

Schengen Museum, Schengen, Luxembourg, 2025

The visit begins with an intelligent ticket that accompanies visitors throughout the exhibition, enabling access to content and interactive moments along the route. At the end of the experience, each visitor receives a personalised passport, a symbolic object that collects traces of the journey and becomes a tangible memory of the values of openness, exchange and shared identity.

The museum experience unfolds through a sequence of interactive installations designed to engage diverse audiences. Games, digital interfaces and immersive environments encourage participation and discovery, making complex historical and social themes accessible to all. The alternation of playful moments and in-depth insights fosters curiosity, reflection and emotional involvement across generations.

The Game

At the heart of the exhibition stands the Cube, a powerful architectural and narrative landmark. Covered by a pattern of national flags and enhanced by mirrors and dynamic lighting, it embodies the concept of a Europe without borders. Inside, an immersive installation amplifies personal stories and testimonies, transforming the Cube into an emotional and symbolic climax of the visit.
