KARMACHINA is featured at Salone del Mobile with two major multimedia installations conceived for the exhibition spaces of Bentley Home and Bugatti Home, the luxury furniture collections born from the partnership between the two historic car manufacturers and Luxury Living Group.
For the Bentley Home space within the Salone del Mobile 2019 stand, KARMACHINA created a large corridor installation introducing visitors to the new luxury furniture collection born from the collaboration between Bentley and Luxury Living Group.
Running across two identical, parallel walls, the installation is built from a complex series of geometric constructions inspired by the lines of one of the collection’s most celebrated pieces: the armchair created to mark the historic manufacturer’s centenary. The lozenge pattern from the back of the seat is redrawn and enlarged across the wall; converging lines and geometric elements suggest movement, echoing the dynamic tension of a racing car.
The colour palette — gold, gun-metal grey and black — echoes the armchair’s own tones and matches the elegance of Bentley’s cars. On the monitors, a synchronised sequence of images celebrates the bold elegance of the Bentley Home collection. A spatial soundscape completes the installation, accompanying visitors as they walk through: an original musical motif sets the rhythm of the visual narrative, while sound design elements underline the animations and the shifts between different scenes.
